This week I used the app Canva to design cover images for my Pinterest boards. Overall, the app is very easy to navigate, which is appreciated. (It's also free, which I'm sure all of us educators love!) I was able to create the images below by simply selecting a background design, adding a shape, and then topping it off with some text. While it was a bit time consuming to create one for every single board, the final product is nice. It may also take a while to download your images. Keep this in mind, as it may try your patience at times. Canna can also be used for larger projects, such as posters or cards. Using the same steps for the Pinterest board images, I was able to create this simple poster explaining the 3 domains of human development. Whether you want to create a basic graphic as I did or work on a more complex design, Canva can be used to accomplish either. It should be noted that you needn't solely use the iPad app for projects like these. The Canva website is just as effective, and, I might argue, a bit more user-friendly. Whichever method you prefer, I encourage you to check out this free resource and let me know what you think!
